What does broad-spectrum mean?
Broad-spectrum sunscreens like Sunbuddy protect against both UVA
and UVB rays. UVB rays (which cause sunburns) have long been
considered a risk factor for the development of skin cancer. Recent
studies have suggested that UVA rays (which cause premature aging
of the skin) may also increase the risk of skin cancer. It is
very important to choose a sunscreen that protects you from both
UVA and UVB rays.

What does an SPF rating mean?
SPF ratings only refer to UVB rays. Basically, a person wearing
SPF 30 sunscreen can spend 30 minutes in the sun and receive the
equivalent of 1 minute unprotected UVB exposure. Many people make
the mistake of wearing too little sunscreen so be sure to apply
liberally to receive full protection.

Is sunscreen really that important?
Absolutely! More than 90% of all skin cancers are caused by
over-exposure to the sun. The regular use of sun protection through
childhood can decrease a child's risk of developing skin cancer by
80%.

How long after applying Sunbuddy can I go in the sun?
Right away! Unlike many other sunscreens, Sunbuddy starts working
immediately to protect you from the sun's harmful rays.
